About Samsø

Samsø is the perfect place for bicycle vacation and known for its dynamic nature and landscape, delicious strawberries and potatoes.

The island stretches about 30 km from south to north and contains many different types of landscape. There are the green hills of the northern island with meltwater canyons and cliffs shaped by the ice age. Between the northern and southern island you find an open heath area and fairytale-like forests. Stavns Fjord, an inner bay area just 1,5 km away, provides great opportunities for hiking, bird watching and kayaking.

The coast line around the island holds various beaches for bathing, fishing, sunrises and sunsets. Everywhere on the island you meet the cultivated cultural landscape with alternating crops, hedgerows and hills, grazing animals and old stone graves. Take a walk in the vast forest by the duke of Brattingsborg Gods in the south, or the many old villages, where you can discover old houses, cafés, small flea markets, roadside stores and galleries.

Close to Agerupgård you find the organic farm Yduns Have. The farm shop is open every day and offers a great selection of organic vegetables, herbs, fruits and eggs. You can pay either with DKK in cash or mobilepay.
